I bought the Eagle Plus steam/vac machine from US Steam in March, 2024. I’m not a professional cleaner, and use this in a small office and residential setting periodically. The machine is far more of a machine (and capital expense) than my needs justify, but WOW…I’m glad I bought it.
I’ve had some experience with a small Dupray steam machine. It seemed like a quality machine from Costco. After doing some cleaning work with it, I started thinking how much I enjoyed using steam to clean out crevices before recaulking sinks, getting mildew that builds up on shower door gasket seams, and rediscovering what color my tile grout actually is; it was reasonably effective, but it took some patience. I started my research into steaming machines that make cleaning tasks—the ones I dislike—more pleasant, and there’s a lot of dubious advice/product reviews out there on products that just aren’t designed to back up the claims they make. I stumbled onto several forums that had opinions that made more sense to me like, “I’ve never had much success with homeowner machines found on Amazon. You really need to step up to commercial levels—like those you can rent from Home Depot—and those are great!” I started my search for commercially-oriented machines that represented a value proposition. At first, I was blown away by the price points…I’m just a DIY enthusiast. This machine isn’t going to have a pay-off for me, but whether it’s cleaning a nasty urinal/toilet at the office, inspiring me to knock off some projects I hate around the house, or just helping my neighbors/friends/family with their projects, I justified the expense with a buy once, cry once mentality when it comes to provisioning good tools with longevity. Now it was time to find the machine that fit the feature specs I wanted with the most value. It didn’t take me long to come across another forum where an individual just raved about their dealings with US Steam from a product and customer support level.
I really liked what I read about their Eagle Plus machine. It checked boxes I didn’t know I had.
