Steam, Grit, and Second Chances:
The Real People Behind US Steam

Meet Chris and Dalton – two friends who turned a side project into a company that runs on trust, teamwork, and, yes… steam.

If you’ve ever messaged US Steam or called the number on their site – you talked to Chris or Dalton – the guys who actually run the company.

“We’re not some massive corporation,” – says Chris.
“We know our machines, and we know our customers.
That’s kind of our thing.”

Their story isn’t your typical startup tale. It starts on a dirt racetrack.

A Friendship That Built a Business

Rewind to 2009. Chris had a business and a son who raced cars. Dalton? He was in high school, helping out at the race track and working part-time for Chris. At one point, Chris even had to fire Dalton, but years later, the two went on to build something far bigger together.

In 2014, Dalton came to Chris with an idea – buy a steam cleaning business. They took a leap, shook hands, and just like that, US Steam had a new life.

Why Steam?

Back then, steam cleaning wasn’t exactly mainstream in the U.S. But they saw the signs. More people were looking for chemical-free, effective ways to clean. Restaurants, factories, schools – all needed better tools.

They didn’t jump in just for the business side. Chris and Dalton believed that steam was a smart, underused solution. And customers needed it.

That belief became the backbone of the company.

Not Just a Product – A Partnership

Eleven years later, Chris and Dalton are still answering phones and personally helping customers choose the right machine. They’ve experimented with different models, learned what works (and what doesn’t), and now focus on four specific units, where each unit does a different job really well.

They didn’t want a bloated catalog — they wanted reliable, powerful tools that people could actually use.

That same thinking applies to support. Whether it’s a first-time buyer or someone who’s used steam for years, they make time to answer questions, offer training, and help with issues.

Some customers have been with US Steam longer than Chris and Dalton have owned the company, which they don’t take lightly.

The Advantage of Staying Small

For many businesses, growth means scaling support teams, automating everything, and moving away from the frontlines. Not US Steam.

They kept it small on purpose, because that lets them stay close to the people who matter — their customers.

They aren’t trying to upsell every caller. Sometimes, they’ll even tell a potential buyer, “This unit isn’t right for you.” That’s the kind of honesty they believe builds long-term trust – and long-term customers.

The Next Chapter

The new Eagle Plus 2.0 has been years in the works – it has been very exciting to finally bring it to market. US Steam has taken user feedback, their own experience to create the most powerful steam cleaner on the market at a great price. Have a question about the new unit? Give them a call as they are still going to answer the phones — that’s not changing.

For Chris and Dalton, it’s always been about more than steam. It’s about building something real, staying hands-on, and helping people solve messy, greasy, gritty problems.

That’s US Steam.

In Their Words?

“If you call, it’s us. If you chat or text – still us.
We’re here, and we’re glad to help.”
